Our life lately..

We're alive!  Yes, I know I am a horrible blogger, but lets face it.  No one probably reads this blog anyway! Especially since I never update it :)  For the sake of our lovely family out of state & country and lack of cell phone time available, I figured I should give a good update.  I have lots of catching up to do between our Puerto Rico trip on Thanksgiving last year and our cruise to Mexico in January, but those will have to be saved for another time. (Since I was nominated the trip photographer and had to take all the pics I am still working on editing all of them!) So here's what we've been up to in the past month:

SPRING BREAK

Well since neither of us are in school, it hardly felt like spring break.  But of course the Burden crew headed out to Roosevelt Lake to camp for the week so naturally we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Bauer loves camping just about as much as Jordan!  He even thinks he's the boss and camped up in his chair for the night.
My handsome man.  Cant get enough pictures of him! ;)
We took the scenic way home.. It was absolutely gorgeous!

General Conference Weekend

General Conference is always a great excuse to go to Utah.  We recently bought our trusty Nissan Altima and decided we had to take her on road trip.  So we packed her up and headed to Utah!

Jordan was loving the smooth drive.  He said he felt like he was on a new car commercial as we drove through some beautify curvy canyons.  I had to capture the moment because it made me laugh :)

The first night in Utah we stayed with one of Jordan's old mission companion's and his wife in Provo.  We were happily greeted at 12am with ice cold mixers and hot tubing in the 40 degree temperatures.  It was the first time this entire winter that it actually felt like winter to me!  The next day we did a session in the Salt Lake Temple and then headed to the GKLM (Great Kentucky Louisville Mission) reunion that night.  Afterwards we went to dinner with a bunch of Jordan's old friends.  It was fun to hear stories and get a glimpse of what it was like for them on their missions.

Later that night we drove up to Morgan, Utah to stay with one of my best friends Katie.   The rest of the weekend consisted of watching conference in our pj's, making homemade cookies , shopping while the boys went to priesthood session, late night chats, and fun games- just like the good old days.  It was so much fun to catch up with you Katie! :)

 Katie and I
(we have a very "special" relationship)

Jordan was right at home between the small town and the beautiful mountain scenery.

 What a stallion :)
We were tempted to just move right in the basement! I think I could get use to living in Utah...

Or so I thought until the drive home when I was reminded by the beautiful sunset why I live in Arizona.
I know what you're thinking here.. I should work for Arizona's Highway Magazine!  Wouldn't that be an awesome job?!

Hoppy Easters!!!
This year for Easter we were able to get together for a small brunch with G&G Button and the Terry's.  It wasn't quite the same without the rest of the family but it was great being together!  We missed you guys!

LOVE! This will forever be my favorite picture of Grandpa Button.  Talk about great facial expressions :)
My dear sweet Grandma! Could not ask for a better example of hard work, kindness, love and service.  I am so blessed to have such great Grandparents! I love them :)

 My best Brycen bud.

I know I shouldn't pick favorites but come on.. who can resist that face??  Love you Mar Mar!

Yes, even on Easter I am still roped into taking family pictures :)

It's times like this that I cant wait to have a little Jordan running around :) So fun!

It was a great Easter day.  I am so grateful for my Savior and for his Atoning sacrifice that has made it possible for us to live together forever in joy with our families.  I am so blessed to have such a great family and I love them all so much!  Jordan and I have been so blessed and are so grateful for all the fun adventures and experiences that we've been able to have these past 2.5 years of marriage.

Halloween!

OK so funniest thing ever.. on Jimmy Kimmel live he challenged all the parents to tell their kids that they ate all their halloween candy and then post the kid's reactions on you tube.  I had to post this video because I can't stop laughing.  What do you think?

Celebrating 2 years!

Saturday August 27, 2011 marked our second wedding anniversary! Its crazy how fast time flies.  Although I can honestly say I do feel like I've been with Jordan longer than that. I love him so much! Just a few things I love about him:

He is so hard-working.  He has managed his business all on his own and has significantly expanded it over the past two years.   He is constantly reading, learning new techniques and always looking into new business possibilities.

He loves me and is so sweet and patient with me despite my imperfections and "firecracker" personality as my family calls it :)

He is so friendly, outgoing and kind to everyone he comes in contact with.  Definitely something I can feed from as I tend to stick to myself and don't like to talk to people I don't know very well or at all.

He has a strong testimony of the gospel, loves his Savior, and is always looking for missionary experiences (even if its midnight at a gas station...)

He is helping me become a better person, which of course is why I married him :) He truly is my better half.

To celebrate the weekend we started off Friday night with a delicious dinner at Cheesecake Factory and a movie.  We went and saw Super 8 in the dollar theaters which was fun since I haven't been there since I was a kid.  Apparently that movie was kinda jumpy b/c on more than one instance Jordan grabbed my arm, screamed (loudly), and jumped out of his seat.  The first time it was kinda funny but then it got kind of embarrassing.. I can only imagine what the people behind us were thinking.  Luckily they were nice and didn't laugh too loud.

On Saturday, Jordan surprised me by taking us up to Payson to enjoy the beautiful cool, cloudy weather.
(I love the view of the beautiful desert we live in! If only it weren't so hot!)

He got us a hotel with the Jacuzzi tub in the room which was really nice and super romantic. :)  There's nothing more relaxing than watching a movie from the Jacuzzi.  We just enjoyed relaxing and then went to the Tonto Natural Bridge.  I don't know how I have been thru Payson and Strawberry so many times and didn't know this place existed.  It was incredible.  There were a couple small waterfalls that we hiked to.

Here is the natural bridge.  Its crazy that it was created by water!  I couldn't believe how tall it was!

This is on the other side of the bridge.  Here I am standing on top of it.  Kinda crazy that there was this hole going straight thru!

It was kinda scary looking thru it since I am extremely scared of heights. All I could think about was the bridge caving in with us on top if it... but it made for a great picture view.

It was a pretty neat sight to see.  We want to go back again and hike down to the bottom next time.  It was a fun activity, definitely recommended!

We had a great weekend celebrating our anniversary.  Cant wait for many more to come!
